1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

8 small breakfast sausages (or hot dogs)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.

    Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Slightly pinch the seams together to form a more solid base.

      Add Flavor: In a small bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, maple syrup, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Spread about 1 teaspoon of this mixture on the widest part of each triangle of dough.

        Cheese Layering: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the mustard mixture, covering it evenly.

          Wrap the Sausages: Place a breakfast sausage at the widest end of each triangle. Carefully roll the dough around the sausage, starting from the wide end and tucking in the edges as you go to seal it.

            Arrange and Bake: Place the wrapped sausages on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Lightly mist the tops with cooking spray for extra crispiness. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
