Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1/2 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1/4 cup sliced green onions

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Salsa and sour cream for dipping

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or turkey) until browned. Drain excess fat. Add the taco seasoning and follow package instructions, usually requiring the addition of water and simmering for about 5 minutes.

Mix Cheeses: In a medium bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and cream cheese until well blended. Stir in diced tomatoes, black olives (if using), and green onions.

Prepare Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.

Assemble Taco Sticks: On each triangle, place a spoonful of the seasoned meat mixture followed by a spoonful of the cheese mixture.

Roll the Taco Sticks: Starting at the wide end of the triangle, roll it up tightly towards the point. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush with Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the rolled taco sticks with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the taco sticks are golden brown.

Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with salsa and sour cream for dipping.
