Ingredients

1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough (8oz)

1 cup cooked ground beef (seasoned with taco seasoning)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup refried beans

1/4 cup salsa

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1/4 teaspoon cumin

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Optional toppings: sliced jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, or chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, refried beans, salsa, garlic powder, chili powder, and cumin. Mix well to ensure an even distribution of flavors.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 4 rectangles by pressing the perforations together to seal.

Spread a generous tablespoon of the beef and bean mixture onto each rectangle.

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the filling, and if desired, add some sliced jalapeños for extra heat.

Roll each rectangle tightly from the short end, pinching the edges to seal them securely.

Place the rolled sticks seam side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Slice into bite-sized pieces if desired and serve with sour cream, guacamole, or additional salsa for dipping.
