Christmas Kiss Cookies Recipe for the Holiday Season
These festive cookies are soft and chewy, topped with a melted Hershey's Kiss for a delightful holiday treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unwrapped Christmas-themed Hershey's Kisses
- ½ cup festive sprinkles optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- If using, fold in the festive sprinkles gently.
- Scoop rounded portions of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are light golden brown and the centers are soft.
- Press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra decoration, consider adding more sprinkles on top after cooling.
