Ingredients

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon ground ginger

Salt and pepper to taste

24 wonton wrappers

Oil for frying (canola or vegetable)

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cup chopped red cabbage

1 avocado, diced

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

¼ cup chopped green onions

¼ cup cilantro, chopped

½ cup sweet chili sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken: In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic powder, ground ginger, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts and coat them in the marinade. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes for optimal flavor.

Cook the Chicken: Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, shred the chicken using two forks and set aside.

Prepare the Wonton Wrappers: In a deep skillet or pot, heat oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add a few wonton wrappers at a time (do not overcrowd). Fry for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil, shaping them into taco shells while they're still warm.

Assemble the Tacos: Once the wonton shells are cool and crispy, begin filling them with a generous amount of shredded chicken. Top each with shredded lettuce, red cabbage, diced avocado, cheddar cheese, and a sprinkle of green onions and cilantro.

Serve: Arrange the tacos on a platter and drizzle sweet chili sauce over the top. Serve immediately and enjoy the delightful crunch and flavors!
