Creamy Beef and Noodle Bake Delight
This creamy beef and noodle casserole is a comforting dish that combines ground beef, egg noodles, and a rich mushroom sauce, topped with gooey cheddar cheese. It's perfect for a family meal and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots mix
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Olive oil for sautéing
- Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, boil water with salt and cook the egg noodles until al dente, then drain.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté diced onion and minced garlic until soft.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned, then drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix the beef with noodles, mushroom soup, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and peas and carrots.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbling and golden.
- Let it rest for a few minutes, then garnish with parsley and serve.
