  • 4 large russet potatoes thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter for greasing the baking dish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with unsalted butter.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
  • Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish.
