12 oz (340g) penne pasta

1 lb (450g) chicken breast, diced

6 slices of bacon, chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 small onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup (240ml) heavy cream

1 cup (240ml) chicken broth

1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix

1 cup (about 100g) shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup (about 100g) frozen peas (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate. Leave about 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet.

      Sauté the Chicken: In the same skillet, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the diced chicken breast, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until cooked through and golden brown, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

        Sauté Onion and Garlic: In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

          Make the Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream to the skillet, stirring to combine. Add the ranch seasoning mix and bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow it to thicken slightly for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

            Combine Everything: Lower the heat and add the cooked pasta, chicken, bacon, and frozen peas (if using) to the creamy sauce. Stir gently to coat all the ingredients in the sauce. Allow to cook together for 2-3 minutes until heated through.

              Add Cheese: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
