Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • oil for frying
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Combine diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice in a bowl and let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape.
  • Spoon 2 tablespoons of apple filling into the center of the wrapper.
  • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the side corners, and roll tightly.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the egg rolls in small batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
