Ingredients

1 pound (450g) salmon fillet, skinless and boneless

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/4 cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 large egg, beaten

1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)

1/2 cup honey

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized cubes, about 1 inch in size. Pat dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.

Prepare the Coating: In a shallow dish, combine the flour, panko breadcrumbs, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk the beaten egg.

Coat the Salmon: Dip each salmon cube first into the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture. Set aside on a plate.

Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

Fry the Salmon Bites: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add salmon bites in a single layer without overcrowding the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.

Glaze the Bites: In a large bowl, toss the crispy salmon bites with the honey garlic sauce until well coated.

Serve: Transfer the glazed salmon bites to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if using.
