Ingredients
  

  • 12 pieces lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • to taste salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • to taste fresh parsley finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the lasagna noodles until al dente.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, Gorgonzola, heavy cream, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce, then half of the cheese mixture, followed by ⅓ of the marinara sauce.
  • Repeat the layering with another set of noodles, remaining cheese mixture, and another ⅓ of marinara sauce.
  • Finish with the last layer of noodles, remaining marinara sauce, and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes.
  • Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before serving, garnished with parsley.
