  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg optional
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts optional
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  • Prepare the dough according to package instructions or make from scratch and let it rise until doubled.
  • Blend softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and nuts until smooth for the filling.
  • Roll out the dough into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
  • Spread the filling evenly on the dough, leaving a small border.
  • Roll the dough tightly from one long edge and pinch the seam to seal.
