  • ¼ cup red wine vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup green olives pitted and finely chopped
  • 1 cup black olives pitted and finely chopped
  • ½ cup roasted red peppers julienned
  • ½ cup marinated artichoke hearts chopped
  • ½ pound mortadella paper-thin slices
  • ½ pound salami paper-thin slices
  • ½ pound provolone cheese paper-thin slices
  • ½ pound honey-glazed ham paper-thin slices
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Make the Olive Salad by combining green olives, black olives, roasted red peppers, and artichoke hearts in a bowl.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and red wine vinegar, then add oregano, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir and let rest for 30 minutes.
  • Slice the Italian bread in half horizontally and hollow out some of the inner crumb if needed.
