Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • to taste salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Set your Instant Pot to the Sauté setting and cook the ground beef for about 5 minutes until browned.
  • Drain any excess fat from the pot.
  • Add the chopped onion, diced bell pepper, and minced garlic, and sauté for 3 minutes.
  • Sprinkle in the chili powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper, and cook for another minute.
  • Pour in the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, and beef broth, stirring to combine.
  • Secure the lid and switch to Manual or Pressure Cook mode for 15 minutes on high pressure.
  • Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then perform a quick release for remaining steam.
  • Open the lid, stir the chili, and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
