1 lb (450g) ground turkey or chicken

8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

4-6 fresh jalapeños, diced (adjust for spice preference)

1/4 cup sour cream

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp salt (to taste)

1/2 tsp black pepper (to taste)

1/4 cup chopped green onions for garnish

1/4 cup bacon bits (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cook the Ground Meat: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey or chicken until browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat, if necessary.

      Prepare the Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, half of the cheddar cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

        Incorporate Jalapeños: Stir in the diced jalapeños into the cheese mixture, ensuring they are evenly distributed.

          Assemble the Casserole: In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the cooked ground meat evenly across the bottom. Pour the jalapeño cheese mixture over the meat layer and spread it out evenly.

            Top with Cheese and Optional Bacon: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top. If desired, add bacon bits for an extra crunch.
