Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh young nettle leaves
  • 1 large orange zested and juiced
  • 1 medium lemon zested and juiced
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Don gloves and rinse the nettle leaves under cold water.
  • In a pot, combine water, orange juice, lemon juice, and zests.
  • Add grated ginger if desired and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add nettle leaves and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher.
