Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon fine salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips or assorted fresh berries
  • cooking spray or neutral oil for greasing
  • maple syrup or honey for drizzling

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Gradually mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients, stirring gently.
  • Fold in chocolate chips or berries until evenly distributed.
  • Preheat mini muffin tin at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes and grease lightly.
  • Scoop 1 tablespoon of batter into each muffin cup, filling ¾ full.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
