Ingredients

4 large bell peppers (any color)

1 lb thinly sliced beef (ribeye or flank steak)

1 medium onion, diced

1 cup mushrooms, diced (optional)

1 cup green bell pepper, diced (optional, for added crunch)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon soy sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

1 cup cream cheese, softened

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Peppers: Slice the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Set aside.

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of oil. Once hot, add the thinly sliced beef. Season with salt and pepper, and sauté until browned (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed. Add the onion and cook until translucent (around 3-4 minutes). Add mushrooms, green pepper (if using), and garlic. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

Combine Fillings: Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce. Mix well and let it cook for 1-2 minutes to meld the flavors. Remove from heat and let it cool a bit.

Mix in Cheese: In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with the beef and vegetable mixture. Stir until well blended.

Stuff the Peppers: Carefully spoon the beef and cheese mixture into each bell pepper, packing it tightly. Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish.

Add Provolone: Top each stuffed pepper generously with shredded provolone cheese.

Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your Philly Cheesesteak Loaded Stuffed Peppers!
