  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 cups cubed bread
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ cup finely chopped green onions optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the crumbled breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes, then drain excess fat.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and layer half of the cubed bread, followed by half of the cooked sausage and half of the cheese.
  • Repeat the layering with the remaining bread, sausage, and cheese.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers, ensuring all components are soaked.
