  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup diced green bell pepper
  • ½ cup diced mushrooms
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 brioche hamburger buns
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the onion, garlic, green bell pepper, and mushrooms; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Lower the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Preheat the oven's broiler and slice the brioche buns in half.
  • Toast the buns cut-side up under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
