Tahini Toasts

Elevate your snack time with these Crunchy Tahini Toasts featuring a zesty twist! Perfectly toasted whole-grain or sourdough bread is layered with a creamy tahini spread infused with lemon, garlic, and a hint of smoked paprika. Topped with vibrant pomegranate seeds and fresh herbs, these toasts are as delicious as they are beautiful. Drizzle with olive oil for added richness. Enjoy them as a delightful appetizer or a quick snack!

Ingredients
  

4 slices of whole-grain or sourdough bread

1/2 cup tahini

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup pomegranate seeds

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or cilantro

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (for drizzling)

Instructions
 

Toast the Bread: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the slices of bread on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through until crisp and golden.

    Prepare the Tahini Spread: In a small bowl, combine tahini, lemon juice, maple syrup (if using), garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a little water until you reach a spreadable consistency.

      Assemble the Toasts: Once the bread is toasted, spread a generous layer of the tahini mixture on each slice.

        Garnish: Top the tahini toasts with pomegranate seeds, chopped parsley or cilantro, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added crunch.

          Drizzle & Serve: Finish by drizzling a bit of extra virgin olive oil on top for extra flavor. Serve immediately as a snack or appetizer.
