Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1/2 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Burger buns, toasted

Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, or garlic aioli

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Use your hands to mix everything together until well combined, but be careful not to overmix.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.

Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Carefully place the chicken patties in the skillet and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the patties are golden brown.

Assemble the Burgers: Once cooked, place each chicken patty on a toasted burger bun. Add your favorite toppings such as lettuce, sliced tomatoes, avocado, and a dollop of garlic aioli for extra flavor.

Serve: Serve the White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers hot with a side of sweet potato fries or a fresh salad. Enjoy your delicious creation!
